Sony has continued its push for consumers to embrace the Blu-Ray format, as it has started shipping 25GB Blu-Ray disks. Regardless of where you stand on the next generation DVD format war, having the ability to store 25GB of data on an optical disk is welcomed. The company has also said that it will be releasing a dual layer 50GB disk in about one month's time as well, and will soon release Blu-Ray devices for Vaio computers as well.

  1. Screw Sony, in the last years, all their products are nonworthy to buy as they break up fast. I heard problems of many Sony TVs, and of even a DVD burner that my friend bought which didn't last more than a week.
  2. Paying $20 a disc just for a One-Time burn is not someone that is really appealing to me. I don't even see the need to have even the burner, what does somebody need that stores 25GB and can only put stuff onto it once?
