Continuing to expand the services that it provides, Google is to launch Google Health, offering targeted search for illness. Expected to commence later this week, Google Health can put results into categories like treatment, research papers, symptoms, news, alternative treatments and so forth.

The service may end up looking like Google's Finance portal which offers other services, like news headlines and market data, alongside tailored search results.
Google has, in the past, been accused of giving patients alarming information, and for spreading information concerning rare side effects.
