Poor Apple - everyone seems to want to take the company to court over stuff right now, trying to squash the company's iTunes sucess story. Now, only just after fighting off an attack from Apple corps over their use of the Apple logo on iTunes, now Creative Technology is taking a pop at them too.

Creative has requested that the U.S. court block sales of Apple Computer's iPod devices, on the grounds that they violate a patent held by Creative. They claim to have been the inventor of the user interface software used by most portable digital media players, including the iPod.

Additionally, Creative claim that Apple has been in violation of U.S. trade law by importing the players into the U.S., and they believe that this justifies a halt of iPod sales in the U.S. Therefore, their lawsuit seeks to stop Apple from selling iPods and seeks unspecified financial damages.
