The last thing you'd expect is for Apple to use Windows machines in their manufacturing. And yet, that's being cited as the possible reason for some video iPods making it out the door carrying a virus. Granted, Apple does not manufacture the devices themselves, but their QA is still on the line with this. A very small number of iPods somehow made it into the hands of customers preloaded with the RayMonE worm, which affects only Windows machines. While nothing compared to the recent slip-up that resulted in 10,000 mp3 players being infected from a different company, it's still a bit sketchy. The response from Apple was almost funny:

"As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it," Apple said on its site.
The problem has been addressed now, and the number of affected units is likely small.
