Windows users might be interested in snagging the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Defender. In beta for over two years and having undergone a name change, Windows Defender has become a fairly popular anti-spyware utility, free for use on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. It has now officially left beta, and includes many functions that help it integrate in an XP workstation, such as IE 7.0 support, scheduled scans, automatic updates, et cetera. Assuming you pass WGA, it is a free download. Considering the dangerous nature of spyware and malware, it can't hurt to give it a try.
