AMD's acquistion of ATI comes to a close

The deed is finally done, and now ATI has been fully acquired by AMD. Perusing the ATI website reveals a much different tune than just one day ago. Gone is the bright red ATI logo, replaced with the standard AMD banner. The functionality of the site remains the same, though now it is chock full of AMD promos and some products have begun the switchover to AMD branding. The company was acquired for a final value of $4.3 Billion cash and 58 million shares of AMD stock. Nothing particularly exciting has come out of either company in the past few months, with Intel making a lot of people swoon over Core 2 Duo. Is now their time to strike back?
