Nintendo's Wii launch is quick approaching, with Nintendo promising 4 million units to be rolled out during the next six weeks. While they don't see a problem in delivering those units, they do predict that there will be a supply shortage due to high demand during launch:

"Wii is for both experienced and uninitiated gamers, and it will be available for the masses," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "Because of demand, we are urging shoppers not to get complacent. The level of demand we are seeing goes beyond the ordinary."
Big words, for sure, especially considering the long delay in getting their new console to the market. One thing Nintendo did mention is that their primary target is the mass market of gaming, which includes all genres. That being said, their lineup will have to be quite large to satisfy all those areas. They will apparently be releasing 62 titles over just the first five weeks of launch.
