OLPC project nears production launch

The OLPC launch is inching ever closer, and current goals put its ready date as sometime this July. The low-cost laptops have become nearly infamous the past few years, with criticisms and praise all around from the industries biggest players, even spawning a (near) competing attempt from Intel. Supposedly, next month will see some children getting the chance to test them before they go into mass production. Already, many countries have placed orders for large amounts of the machines, so there is plenty of demand to grab hold of that supply when it finally does roll out.
