Opera CTO shows off Opera on OLPC at Wired

While not exactly news, there was a fascinating video shot over at the Wired offices of the small OLPC laptop that has been a huge topic the past year. The unit, which has recently entered into production and has a million units on order, promises to bring computing and the Internet to places it has never been before.

In this video, the CTO of Opera, Håkon Wium Lie, shows off the unit, both hardware and software. You can see how rugged it looks, even if it does somewhat resemble a toy. He goes over all the physical components of the unit, such as switching it into tablet mode and shows off Opera running on the OLPC. He mentions that it seems like it would be a good fit all around the world, such as in the west, and not just in emerging markets. Definitely worth the watch if you are interested in the OLPC.
