PC Power & Cooling joins OCZ Technology Group

In a press release issued today, OCZ has announced that they are acquiring PC Power & Cooling. PCP&C is known for their PSUs and cooling products, particularly aimed at enthusiasts, and that is exactly the market that OCZ caters to. Given that, it's a predictable match. They intend to combine their R&D and other resources, and supposedly it will help PCP&C make their products available to a much wider market. Given OCZ's success in enthusiast-class hardware, I actually am looking forward to seeing what changes they might make to their hardware lineup.

The CEO of PCP&C will remain onboard as a CTO, and from the wording of the press release it sounds like they don't have any plans to drop their current hardware. You can read the full press release at OCZ's site.
