OCZ is well known for their memory, which almost exclusively targets very high performance enthusiast systems. While DDR3 is still extremely new to the market and DDR3 supporting systems are very rare, OCZ is already crafting "performance" class RAM for those systems. This week, they introduced the OCZ PC3-10666 Platinum edition, bringing with it lower latencies when put up against comparable modules.
Designed around Intel's P35 and X38 Express chipsets, the new ram runs at timings of CL7-7-7-20, which is better than normal for DDR3 RAM at that speed. They have made 1GB and 2GB dual channel kits available, though supply is "limited" in their own words:
These modules are currently available in limited quantity and OCZ has been working closely with the leading platform providers to ensure optimal performance and compatibility on all the next generation computing platforms that will be introduced later this year.
