More Linspire in the news today, the chief executive for the company has decided to part ways with the Linux vendor. With no formal statement, the CEO leaving comes just a short while after signing a deal with Microsoft, leaving some to speculate that the terms of the deal may have been a factor.

With no official statement, however, we can only assume. It seems like an unusual time to leave, especially since just today they announced the release of Freespire 2.0. Both Linspire and Kevin Carmony, the former CEO, declined to comment on the situation.

Is Linspire in trouble?

I wouldn't necessarily go as far as to say that Linspire is in trouble, but I certainly frowned upon the "partnership" between Microsoft and Linspire.I today sat through a presentation provided by Novell - I am not sure I heard one legitimate thing about this so-called partnership!
