They also believe the lower cost for HD DVD players will pan out in the long run, giving Paramount a wider audience to sell to than if they equally split their media between two formats.
The bone of contention for Blu-ray sales is the inclusion of the PS3. Their belief is that most people who own a PS3 will not use it to play Blu-ray movies, so the data shouldn't be included in deciding future endeavors. Tough luck, Sony.
