Microsoft settles with Eolas over patent infringement

If you remember, a long time ago Microsoft entered into a battle with Eolas, who sued the giant for patent infringement. Their claim was that key parts of Internet Explorer violated Eolas patents. After years in the courts, the two companies have finally put their bickering to an end.

Microsoft has settled with Eolas for an undisclosed amount. Originally, they asked for $520 million. It's doubtful they got that much, but the details of the settlement aren't yet available, and it seems that neither company is actually permitted to talk about the details. With an obvious infusion of cash from this suit, I wonder what Eolas plans to do. Will they disappear, having achieved their goal of suing Redmond, or will they use that money to fund new ventures?
