Tablet Macbooks in the near future?
Do we have an Apple tablet on the way? While this rumor has come up in the past and been squashed by Apple, their continued successes and proven ability to make good on product launches suggests that this latest tidbit might have some basis in reality.
According to a recent CNET article, someone from Asus has commented on them helping Apple manufacture tablet Macs. They go on to assert that it will be a complete redesign of existing platforms rather than a remake of older designs. Others are talking about the possibility as well, though with no official word from Apple it's just guesswork as to what they are up to.

already.

promoting the Tablet format could be reason enough for Apple
not wanting to delve into that market, who knows in the
coming years/months though as they expand their current
product line-up.

Apples one great strength is, then it would have to be in
figuring out how technology can easily integrate into
peoples lives. All of Apples products (with the exception
of Apple TV) become items which become ingrained in the very
fabric of everyday life. THey are organic in sense and all
have real and practical application. When we add in a sense
of the sleek and sexy into their designs then presto...we
have technology we cannot do without. The tablet has always had much unrealized potential. IF Apple is to release one then maybe some of that potential could finally come to pass. To me, an Apple tablet could be a truely convergent piece of technology.
