New Zune players and software available starting tomorrow
Starting tomorrow Microsoft will start selling their new Zune players, along with the launch of redesigned Zune software, and online services like the Zune Marketplace and Zune Social. There will be three new models: the black 80GB Zune with a 3.2” screen, the portable 4GB Zune and the 8GB Zune, which all will come with the new Zune Pad, wireless sync, wireless sharing, and a built-in FM tuner.
“The updated design of the new Zune players is complemented by smart new software and a dramatic new look and feel for Zune Marketplace. The new Zune software takes digital music to a new level of simplicity, while connecting consumers to a richer, more interactive entertainment experience through Zune Marketplace and the new Zune Social online music community.”
The new players will retail for $249.99, $149.99 and $199.99, respectively. Aside from the interesting software updates, which are free for existing Zune owners, Microsoft will launch the web store Zune Originals where customers can customize and buy Zune players. So far it seems Microsoft is heading in the right direction with this update, but we will have to wait until tomorrow for those first impressions.
