Google has rolled out a new Digg-like feature in its Google Experimental Labs site that allows users to influence their search experience by not only prioritizing their favorite results, but also adding, moving, and removing search results. Unlike Digg, however, votes aren't used to influence the results of all users, but rather only those of the person who made the changes.
People participating in this limited trial will see two new icons alongside their search results: an up arrow and an X button. Users can move up any individual search result by clicking the up arrow icon or hide any result by clicking the X button. In addition, users can suggest missing URLs which they think are more relevant to the search query.
As with the rest of the Experimental search projects in Google Labs, don't look for this to hit the main search page any time soon as the feature may never see full release on the site.
