Fans of the Safari browser will be happy to learn that Apple has updated the software
, releasing version 3.1 today. The new iteration of the browser boasts speed boosts, faster rendering than competing browsers, newer HTML support and more. Of course, that's all coming from Apple – though I am sure that a lot of the Safari user base would agree. Claims of it being 4 to 5 times faster than Firefox and Opera are pretty bold. Interestingly, Apple's Safari page claims the tests were conducted with a beta version of Safari.
