Take-Two sues over pulled GTA IV ads
After pulling an ad campaign for Grand Theft Auto IV last month, the Chicago Transit Authority was adamant that the decision was their legal right and duty. Take-Two, however, doesn’t seem to agree and has filed a suit against the authority and its sales agent, Titan Outdoor LLC, claiming a violation of free speech and the breaking of a contractual agreement.
The ads were removed following a report by a Fox News affiliate that questioned why the campaign was allowed to run after a wave of violent crimes in Chicago – even though the ads themselves contained nothing that could incite violence. The suit seeks an order for the transit authority to run the ads as well as monetary damages of at least $300,000.

I totally agree - pretty stupid to pull the ads down. |
