Talking of DX9... ATI has released some unsupported (but publicly available ;)) DirectX 9 drivers labeled as Beta Release Candidate 0. They have also made available a few tech demos showing off new features. Nice move by ATI, early adopters (most R9700 owners, I'd say) sure appreciate these kind of releases.

Opera 7 for Windows Beta 1 is out of the door. Though I'm not much of a fan of other browsers than IE (best compatibility if you ask me), Opera developers sure have done an incredible job with this one; opens fast, operates smoothly, all in a small package. You can get this new beta here.
