EA Maxis details upcoming Spore expansion

If you liked Spore, and perhaps still like it, you're probably interested in the upcoming expansion for it. Dubbed Galactic Adventures, the planned expansion from EA Maxis has been in development for a while and is nearing completion, with a release due within the next few months. As a teaser, some video footage of the game along with more information on what the expansion entails has been released.

Apparently, EA Maxis primarily took input from players post-release to shape the nature of the expansion. It definitely looks interesting. Perhaps EA will pull off an expansion launch more successful than with the original game. Spore's launch was marred by DRM woes which ended up in a lot of backtracking and did very little to prevent piracy – but they still released one of the most popular games of the year.
