OCZ introduces Pro-Source 1500 UPS

OCZ's product lineup expanded a bit this week, following an announcement that the company’s PC Power & Cooling branch would be unveiling their first uninterruptible power supply, the Pro-Source 1500. This 1500VA UPS, capable of supplying up to 900W of electricity, offers a pure sine wave source of power as opposed a step sine wave generated by lesser units – which means a higher quality power source for your electronic gear.

Starting at under $300, it will be in the same price bracket in terms of power output to dollar as some higher end SOHO units, but significantly pricier than generic models. They also provide monitoring software for the UPS, like any good UPS should, to allow you to configure automated shutdowns. It even offers remote alerts via SMS or Email, functionality that is hard to reliably find on cheap models. You can read specifics about the release in the official press release.
