Yes, it’s real this time. Sprint and Palm have officially announced the long awaited Palm Pre’s pricing and date of availability. Starting June 6, if you sign yourself up for a two year contract with Sprint’s Everything Data or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plans, you’ll bag a Pre for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Besides Sprint stores, the phone will be sold at Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walmart and online as well.

Additional accessories for the Pre will also be available on June 6. This includes the Touchstone Charging Kit for $69.99 which includes a dock and a back cover. Palm’s latest phone will also provide users with access to Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile Live.

The Pre’s release falls just two days before Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) where most are expecting to see a new iPhone-related announcement. Are you marking June 6 down in the planner or do you intend on waiting to see what Apple has up its sleeve?

  1. Based on my past Palm experience, they will never get another dime from me.I had a VIIx I sent it in for repairs and they sent it back in the same shape, it wouldn't come on consistently or stay on, obviously a short somewhere, and they didn't fix it.End of me dealing with them EVER.
