Nvidia has released new WHQL-certified ForceWare drivers, version 190.62. The update brings a new DirectX GPU computing API, DirectCompute, and is optimized for the latest PhysX gaming titles, including Batman: Arkham Asylum and Darkest of Days. ForceWare 190.62 also resolves numerous issues:

Windows XP 32-bit single-GPU resolved issues and changes:

  • GeForce 9 Series (2x): With a TV connected to S-Video, the display turns blank after opening the NVIDIA Control Panel, requiring the user to reboot the system. (445384)
  • GeForce 9800 GTX: Far Cry 2-with the in-game resolution set to 1920x1200 and antialiasing set to 2x or higher, there is corruption when looking up at the sky. (555163)
Windows XP 64-bit single-GPU resolved issues and changes:
  • GeForce 9800 GX2: Rainbow Six Vegas 2-the game hangs or crashes before the loading screen when launched with the default settings. (570878)
Windows 7 32-bit single GPU resolved issues:
  • GeForce 9500 GS: With a VGA and S-Video display connected in Clone mode, the Nvidia Control Panel change resolution controls do not work. (558589)
