Intel delays dual-processor

"Intel said Thursday that it is pushing back the release of its first dual-core processor by a year to 2005 and adding a new microprocessor for servers to its Itanium II lineup."

I expect in a few years people will laugh at your rig if its only got one core. Its interesting how server type technologies are finding their way down onto the desktop. I remember the awe and wonder of seeing RAID for desktop systems. Now many higher end motherboards have it built in. I expect the dual or even quad core chip will become commonplace in a few comming years.
