Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X now available for pre-order at Best Buy

Best Buy is now accepting pre-orders for Nokia’s flagship Lumia 920 as well as the HTC 8X. The AT&T exclusive 920 will retail for just $149 while HTC’s handset can be yours for $99. Pricing for both includes the typical two-year service agreement subsidized by service providers. If you’d like either phone without a contract, prepare to shell out $600.

Nokia’s handset is expected to be a serious contender in the smartphone race. With a price point of $150, it also significantly undercuts other high-end handsets like Apple’s $199 iPhone 5 and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note II which will retail for $299 with a two-year contract.

If you aren’t familiar, the HTC 8X ships with a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display sporting a resolution of 720 x 1,280 with a pixel density of 342 that’s coated in Gorilla Glass, a Qualcomm S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and an 8-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera.

Features and specifications on Nokia’s Lumia 920 have been well-documented so I won’t rehash those. If you need a quick refresher, feel free to check out our recent comparison between the Lumia 920 and several other high-end handsets.

The Lumia 920 will be available in black, cyan, red, white and yellow while the HTC 8X is only offered in purple. Best Buy’s website doesn’t list a shipping date but instead notes that phones will ship when they are available. We’ll likely have to wait until October 29 for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 event to gather more details on a release date.

  1. Bestbuy actually took the 920 off preorder either early today or yesterday evening. So here we must still wait.....

Well...that's what happens when instead of doing any sort of research one just copy and pastes info from another site.

  5. Best Buy has the Nokia Lumia 920 for sale but has been changing links and removing it from searching in an effort to intentionally slow sales.

    The curretn link is:

  6. The link you shared showing "Sold Out Online". It means this phone is no more available at bestbuy.
