Google has decided to team up with fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg to release a stylish line of frames that attach to Google Glass. The special edition run will feature a number of designs from von Furstenberg that will go on sale later this month.

Currently Glass frames are only available in a single shade of black, but the DVF collection will add significantly to the options. At this point, it looks like there will be five different shades (with the DVF logo set in the top right corner) and eight different frame options made available. It will be a limited run with no specific numbers given.

The DVF collaboration comes after Google's attempt to make its hi-tech gear more fashionable with the Titanium Collection (seen above) at an additional $250, along with partnerships with Ray-Ban and Oakley. Some have suggested the new designs could be a slight step up from previous enhancements and likely to at least some what widen the head computer's appeal.

The new DVF Glass designs will be sold by Google and NET-A-PORTER.com starting on June 23 and they won't be cheap. A non-prescription set will run $1620 and a prescription pair will cost $1725. You can also expect to find Google's Titanium line on sale from NET-A-PORTER on that date as well.
