Impressive benchmark performance, Keyboard dock, included in price, also works as a hard cover, Loud speakers, Good port selection, Pleasingly slim
Good overall performance; Display has wide viewing angles; Keyboard included; HDMI and microSD ports
The Archos 101 XS includes a full QWERTY keyboard, memory expansion, Mini-HDMI, and great games performance.
Pricey given current competition, Weak battery life, Keyboard dock feels flimsy, No rear camera
Awkward docking mechanism; Poorly placed webcam; Tinny audio; Cramped keyboard layout
The tablet never feels like it's safely attached to the keyboard, and unless you have small hands, typing on the keyboard feels cramped. The tablet also features shoddy build quality and at $400 is too expensive for what's offered.

This is possibly the best Android Tablet that I have used so far. I will qualify that statement by saying it is most like a standard PC notebook and therefore easiest to use by anyone coming from a PC background to use an Android...

Last year we were definitely impressed by the Archos 101 G9, so much so that we gave it the Silver Award. The same honours won't be bestowed upon the 101 XS. Archos has not managed to update the hardware enough during the past year to keep up with...

The budget tablet market is hotting up thanks to Google’s Nexus 7, and Archos has done well to offer something different with the 101 XS. In practice, though, the Coverboard and its keyboard don’t work particularly well – its quirks...

The Archos 101 XS offers a unique solution to the keyboard conundrum for tablets, instantly transforming it from a media plaything into a practical work tool for all occasions. The flip-up stand feels a little flimsy for comfort, but the impressive...

A keen price and plenty of power, but the poor integrated keyboard and plasticky build taint the...

It's hard to dislike the Archos 101 XS, despite its shoddy build and mediocre design, but equally hard to fall in love with it too, despite its nippy performance and its useful hybrid control setup. We can't help that feel, even at a penny of shy...

We love what Archos was trying to do with the Archos 101 XS. It’s a huge leap forward for a company otherwise known for cheap efforts rather than affordable ones. But the keyboard’s a tad too small to be helpful, and it’s still lacking...

Archos' decision to shift emphasis from media to productivity could have been a disaster, but the 101 XS works pretty well as a mobile work device. The Coverboard is brilliantly designed and realised – keeping the tablet safe and secure when...

The 101 XS is without a doubt the best tablet Archos has ever come up with, as well as one of the best tablets that are out right now. The battery life, hybrid functionality and part-"wow", part-"blah" display prevent it from getting our full five-star...

The 101 XS is just full of quirks. The touchscreen flakes out and starts touching itself if you press too hard, it takes forever to wake up, and the ports are in the wrong spots. The keyboard is flat, and you can't angle the screen to your liking....
