Full aluminum construction with minimalist design, Excellent screen, Great audio
Application workhorse, manages to create immersive 3D experiences, comfortable to work on.
Great performance for multitasking and gaming; great 3D effects; full HD display; bundled active-shutter 3D glasses; terrific sound quality.
The HP Envy 17 3D is a 3D notebook, which on its own is a huge asset. In addition to that the Envy 17 comes with Backlit keyboard, stunning, ultrabright display, comes with Elements and Adobe Photoshop and imposing “Beats” audio system.
Simple and pleasant design, Powerful in both computing and games, 1080p 3D LED screen, Full sized backlit keyboard, Beats audio speakers are great.
Speedy for price; full-HD, gorgeous LCD; huge touch pad; above-average audio; slot-loading Blu-ray drive
A gorgeous high-definition 3D display. Blu-ray. Beats Audio provides good bass. Bundled 3D glasses fit over prescription glasses.
Excellent design. Top rate performance. Reasonable value
Three dimensions, people! Can you dig it? Backlit keyboard. Impressive “Beats” audio system. Dazzling, superbright display. Includes Adobe Photoshop and Elements combo.
Audio quality among the best in laptops, Superb LCD display; excellent 3D Bluray visuals.
Bright, crisp screen, Good 3D performance, Stylish design, Comfortable, backlit keyboard, Strong graphics performance, Great sound quality
Graphics engine bottlenecks performance
Extremely large and heavy, not a gaming machine.
Bulky and heavy; poor battery life; cumbersome 3D setup process; notebook runs very hot.
The overall 3D experience of HP Envy 17 3D is gimmicky, poor and really boring. The cooling fans for the notebook are too loud and ruin the experience of the awesome speakers of the system when the laptop heats up. The arrow keys are disappointingly small
Mouse pad doesn't register all gestures, Supplied GPU is a bit weak for games in 3D at 1080p
Shaky 3D capability boosts price too much; brief battery life; subpar multitouch input
Pricey compared to its 2D peers. Limited 3D content. Still requires special glasses.
Very short battery life, Parts of notebook get quite hot, Too many steps to start 3D games, Can't play 3D content on TVs
