Synthetic Benchmarks

The SiSoft2007 processor benchmark showed the Core 2 Duo E6700 performance to be much the same on both the P5W DH Deluxe and 965P-DQ6 motherboards. The Gigabyte G1975X which used the Pentium D 950 was significantly slower, as this dual-core processor is no match for the new Core 2 Duo.

Overclocking the Core 2 Duo E6700 from its standard frequency of 2.66GHz to 3.66GHz allowed for roughly 35% more performance out of this processor in the SiSoft2007 processor test. The multimedia test showed a whopping 85% performance increase from the 3.66GHz Core 2 Duo. The 1MB Super PI calculation was made 5 seconds faster on the overclocked system, a 26% performance increase.
