As funny as this sounds I was impressed to see the M2N32-SLI Deluxe using the AM2 processor, matching the performance of the older 939-pin platform in X3: Reunion. Overclocking the AM2 processor also lead to a 21% performance gain in X3:Reunion at 1600x1200.

Next up we have F.E.A.R which just punished the AM2 platform giving the much older 939-pin processor easy victories at both 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. Quake 4 was also not as kind, showing weakness in the AM2’s game. Here the AM2 platform falls as much as 6fps behind the much older 939-pin platform. Finally, the M2N32-SLI Deluxe regains some ground in UT2004 as it matches the 939-pin platform at both resolutions. The overclocked AM2 configuration also does well, extending the average frame rate from a crazy 1.59.5fps to an insane 189.5fps!
