The GeForce 8800 GTS 512 was particularly impressive in F.E.A.R. especially at high resolutions. With 4xAA/16xAF enabled the 8800 GTS 512 was the fastest tested graphics card at 1920x1200 rendering an average of 50 fps, about 5 fps faster than the 8800 GTX. This is surprising considering the 8800 GTX was significantly faster at the lower resolutions.
Even overclocking the 8800 GTS 512 did not save it from dropping behind the 8800 GTX by 3-4 fps at the lower resolutions we tested. Certainly some interesting results here. It is also worth mentioning that the new 8800 GTS 512 was 8% faster than the 8800 GT at 1680x1050.
