i was just recently givin a KDS Valiant 6380iPTD and i know nothing bout this laptop except that the company is no more..Anybody out there have this same laptop and manuels ya could post or send..Its upgrated to win xp professional version with service pack 2.What i really want is..doesis this laptop ready for lan? I know it comes with 56k modem but im running cable modem or do i have to get something else to make it get on the internet..All help is apperciated..Thanx..

If the laptop has a PCMCIA slot, you will be able to install a PCMCIA network card. This will get you Internet access

yess it has a PCMCIA slot and i bought the card for it but never could get it to work..It tryed to connect but never could.I d-loaded the drivers it came with but for some reason it never could..I really didnt try that much on it casue i took it back..I believe it was a d-link card..
