Rollie2010 10-29-2008, 06:44 PM I have an XFX 8800 GS, AMD Phenom quad core processor, 720g Sea gate hdd, and stock HP case with side air vents. I have an air intake fan, exhaust fan, and cooling fan. When idling I run about 30C, when under minor usage I run about 36C, and while playing a game like World of Warcraft im running about 46-50C. I read the thread telling me the laws before I post, but I was wondering if this is an acceptable temp for MY specs? Also anything I could do to get it even lower, placement of fans, more fans, etc? CCT 10-29-2008, 07:08 PM acceptable temp Ad 10-29-2008, 07:08 PM almcneil 10-29-2008, 07:12 PM The temps are within specs but you can add additional cooling if you like. Go to independent computer store and they will show you some of the latest cooling devices. Some are quite ingenious!! Best, -- Andy Rollie2010 10-29-2008, 08:01 PM Thanks for the input, is extra cooling pretty spendy? almcneil 10-29-2008, 08:05 PM Don't think so. I'm not a hobbyist. I'm a computer tech so most of my requirements are not high end. Best, -- Andy CCT 10-29-2008, 08:09 PM You live ion Iowa - the winters are cold in Iowa! Crack a window open. In summer, drop the AC a couple degrees and that'll do it. Rollie2010 10-29-2008, 08:35 PM hahah, alright. =S Rollie2010 10-30-2008, 04:53 PM Another question sorry, im currently using speedfan, and it gives me four temperatures. Temp1 Temp2 Temp3 Core what are these temps referring too? CCT 10-30-2008, 04:55 PM If the Speedfan people don't make it clear, use Everest (old but still works) under Computer, Sensor. Ad 10-30-2008, 04:55 PM Rollie2010 10-30-2008, 05:12 PM I like speed fan I just wanted to know if anyone had info on how to tell which one was which. thanks tho. CCT 10-30-2008, 05:16 PM Rollie, go to the Speedfan site and get the info you need. |
