Hello everybody:

I am new to this forum. Can any one help me?

I newly bought HL - 340 USB to RS232 cable but my windows (both Xp sp3 and Vista home) can not recognise it. In the device manager it shows unknown device and I am not able to install it's driver. Through this forum I found some suggestions and tried to download driver HL - 340 driver but I still can not make it work.

When I connect the that USB to RS232 cable to my notebook the message is " USB device not recognized. One of th usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesnot recognize it".
I wonder if that device really does not work at all?

I am intending to use it for a printer which has rs232 out (com1) and connect to my notebook which has usb port.
