I have a .mkv file that I want to convert to a dvd format and I am trying to use AVS video converter but it is telling me that it does not support that file format. I am running Windows Vista

Hey kpbradley

Try downloading TPMG Encoder here (http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2128707/tmpg-encoder-521).

Hope this helps

If you are going to be doing this very often it may be worth purchasing something like ConvertXtoDVD (http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/) which is designed specifically for doing so. It is kind of expensive ($50) but its worth it if you do this sort of thing very often.
