AOL shutdown

When I try to conect to aol my laptop shuts down because of possible harm to the computer. Dial up is successful as is Internet Explorer. Have been using aol successfuly up until now. Can anyone help?

uninstall; reboot; reinstall

Tried uninstall and reboot plus installing AOL 9.5 but same result immediate shutdown.

AOL has been notorious for installing malware. Perhaps your anti-virus is preventing AOL installation.
