Iphoto not coming up in imovie

iphoto suddenly quit coming up in imovie. iphoto and imovie still work, but with no iphoto in the media window. Am getting a message telling my to (open iphoto 2 or later or aperture 1.5 or later to see photos from you iphoto or aperture library in this list.) I'm using version 6.0.3. Any suggestions on how to get this working again?
