Raise volume on PSP videos

Hi,

I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate to convert my tv shows to a format recognized by my PSP. I have been having problems with the overall volume of the videos. The conversion quality is set to maximum yet the volume is somewhat low even with the PSP is maximum volume level. Would anyone know of another application to convert to PSP format that has a way to raise the volume on conversion? Other recommendations are also welcomed.
