Root access in OS X Leopard

Hi!

I'm new to OSX Leopard, and I'm not sure how to run a program with root privilege. This is a command I've been told to run in terminal, but how do I run it with root privileges?

vi /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext/Contents/Info.plist

I want to edit and save the Info.plist file, can anyone help me with this?

Thanks

Have you tried it with using sudo first?

OK, thanks. It didn't seem to work at first, maybe because my account didn't have a password. After adding a password it worked.
