CoD4 doesnt work any more

Ive just installed windows 7 64bit and call of duty 4 doesnt run on it. I cannot run the patches either is this because of the 64bit?

Are all the motherboard, graphics, sound, etc. drivers installed? Windows 7 compatible drivers?

i have 64bit bios,graphics drivers. I have a sound chip not a card and the sound is working fine as before.

It's not because it's 64-bit - I run it just fine on a 64-bit Win7 install. Was it an upgrade install of your OS? Have you tried removing and then re-installing CoD4?

it was a custom install from 32bit xp to 64bit windows 7 premium
