Try repairing Vista startup by booting from a Vista install DVD and selecting the repair options. If you press F1, will Vista start, or do you get a black screen?

No black screen, I get the screen with the SATA settings and it tells me to F1 to reboot or F2 to set up settings.

Either your Hard Drive(s) are configured incorrectly or the boot drive settings have changed. The C drive may have gone bad
