The problem of spyware not exactly news (unfortunately), and neither is this article on removing it (http://www.aselabs.com/articles.php?id=126) but we get so many posts about this problem I thought it was worth posting here.
Arstechnica (http://arstechnica.com/) have a nice article (http://arstechnica.com/reviews/004/flash/flash-1.html) on USB 2.0 Hi-speed Flash drives, as well as a look at Intel's Processor Number Schema (http://arstechnica.com/reviews/004/software/intel-naming/schema-1.html) which is also worth a look.
Bjorn3d (http://www.bjorn3d.com/) have an article on SATA RAIDing With Maxtor (http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=647), something I did myself just recently. They also have a review (http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=409) of the Maxtor 120GB DiamondMax Plus 9 SATA HDD as well, so you can really do your homework on that.
Finally, if you think you can stomach it, there an article (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1620668,00.asp) on killing a motherboard from ExtremeTech (http://www.extremetech.com). I can already smell that burning plastic in the air....
