nVidia driver crash

When I install the newer versions of the nVidia drivers, RunDLL crashes on startup, saying, "C:\Windows\System\NvCpl.dll. One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found." Downgrading to the older, 53.04 drivers fixes it, but I'd rather not be using such old versions of the drivers. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm using Win98, and I just reformatted, so it can't be any other software

You could remove that nvcpl line from startup with msconfig (unless you really need it for something specific).
