Intel 915 boards have problems with certain PCI Express cards

Looks like all is not well in Intel 915 land, where there are some problems with certain Intel 915 boards (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17809) with certain ATI and Nvidia cards.

Due to "PCI Espresso Bongo stability" problems, the Intel 915 chipset may not be quite ready for PCI Express yet. i925-based boards do not suffer from this problem and should handle PCI Express no problem. As always, ATI, Nvidia and Intel are currently shouting at each other.

lol, nice to be on the bleeding edge...

I remember when I had a Fic mother board with a shiny new Agp 4x connector & brand new VIA chipset and *issues* with my Geforce256 DDR video card :)

I also remember them trying to pass the hot potato too...

This is why I'm waiting until Spring to upgrade to LGA775, PCIXpress, and DDR2.

Maybe these idiots will have everything straightened out.
