The PC giant announced today its second-quarter revenues (http://www1.us.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/corp/pressoffice/en/2004/2004_08_12_rr_000?c=us&l=en&s=corp) are up 20 percent compared to last year totaling $11.7 billion, a company record which is credited to increased server sales and strong presence in the global market.
Sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and in Asia-Pacific and Japan rose 30 and 29 percent, respectively. Combined revenue for enterprise systems, including servers and storage systems, accounted for 22 percent of overall sales, matching a company high.
