New virus takes control of webcams and microphones!

At first, the Rbot-GR worm looks just like any one of the usual nasties doing the rounds these days: after exploiting a Microsoft security glitch, it then installs a Trojan horse. Nothing new about that. But what is new is that the virus then takes control of the user's webcam and microphone! The resulting images and soundtracks are then sent to the hackers behind the virus infections.

The applications of such a worm make it attractive to sicko perverts and industrial spies alike. Webcams with an "active light" may give the game away, but to users without such a feature on their webcams, its looking worrying.

Would you like to know more (http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1105_2-5320592.html?tag=zdfd.newsfeed)?

Hahahahaha, this remind anyone else of that robot house-maid there was a horror-movie about a while back? The one they made a parody of ib the Simpsons?

I'd like to see someone take advantage of the CD-Tray, make it open and close and stuff while saying "I'm Possessed, save yourself".

Honestly... what's next?

Yeah and if you had more then one drive they would all open and close alternativly while the volume goes up and down and the printer prints off blood red sheets constantly. sounds like quite a cool virus.

Reminds me of the one a couple of years ago that made the screen flash white and red with big flashing writing saying "IM LOOKING AT GAY PORN!!!!!!" while playing a really loud beeping noice so everyone looks over. Designed for univercity liberarys I imagine very funny! if anyone wants a copy pm me.
