The next generation XBox chip, R500, will be ready around Q1 2005 (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=18729). The chip differs from the previous R520 (Fudo) chip mainly in that it has an integrated frame buffer. No word yet on when we will actually see the XBox 2, though.
