Banned from testing in Apple Store

"Last week, Apple barred webmaster Robert Morgan from using the Macs at his local Apple Store as a performance test lab -- right after Morgan published tests results for the iMac G5 that contradict Apple's claims for the machine."

Apple has been known to be fairly liberal with its retail stores. Customers have been encouraged to hang out and surf the net, play with the machines and generally have a good time. However, Apple thought things were going too far when webmaster Robert Morgan started running his own performance lab in the store. He had apparently been testing at the store for years with full knowledge of the staff when he was banned from doing so (http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,65200,00.html). Of course, his benchmark results showing a poor performance for the iMac G5 had nothing to do with it, naturally.
