Podcasting: The new wave of net audio

Wired (http://www.wired.com/news/digiwood/0,1412,65237,00.html) has an article up describing the increasing popularity of the phenomenon touted as podcasting. The technology resembles the way RSS feeds work, but this time instead of downloading news headlines from all around the web, you can subscribe and automatically download audio content directly to your MP3 player.

To get audio feeds, users simply connect their MP3 player to their computer, go online, and subscribe to feeds they want the podcasting service to provide. Audio content is then pushed from the original source to an aggregator and then to the subscriber.
